Sweden gives green signal to Turkey on NATO accession

Türkiye has given the green signal for the inclusion of Sweden in NATO. The Foreign Affairs Commission gave this signal in the Turkish Parliament on Tuesday. Their objections to Sweden's accession to NATO were finally accepted after 19 months of agitation. Sweden's NATO membership will now be possible only after the Turkish parliament gives final approval.
Sweden's accession to NATO has long been a subject of tension. Other NATO representative countries gave permission to Sweden, but Turkey refused to give it. Turkey has accused Sweden of harboring Kurdish terrorist groups. supports them. Although NATO calls the group of Kurdish fighters terrorists, Sweden does not consider them terrorists in its own country.
It does not end here. In the meantime, there have been multiple incidents of burning the Holy Quran in Sweden. Turkey strongly condemned it. Turkey has repeatedly objected to Sweden's accession to NATO on these two issues. NATO, however, continued to hold talks with Turkey. Finally, the Turkish Parliament Commission gave the green signal.
