Japan tried to negotiate with the Houthis, seizing the Israeli ship.

Yemen's Houthi rebels have seized a cargo ship in the Red Sea. Japan has said that it is trying to directly negotiate with the Houthi leaders to release the ship. The ship is owned by an Israeli businessman. But managed by a Japanese company.

On Monday, Tokyo said that they want to discuss directly with the Houthi rebels about the release of the Galaxy Leader ship. In addition, Tokyo said that the Japanese government is discussing with the relevant Israeli authorities about the release of the ship.

Japan's Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa said today that Japan is trying to negotiate directly with Israel as well as Houthi rebel leaders regarding the release of the detained ship.

Houthi rebels seized the ship from the Red Sea on Sunday. The armed group says they seized the ship in protest of Israel's barbaric attacks on Gaza.

The Japanese government strongly condemned the seizure of the ship operated by the Japanese company Nippon Yusen. Tokyo also called on the governments of Iran, Saudi Arabia and Oman to negotiate with the Houthis for the immediate release of the cargo ship and its crew members.

Meanwhile, immediately after the ship was seized, Israel strongly condemned it. They are blaming Iran for the seizure of the ship. At the same time, it threatens the security of international navigation.

However, Iran has said that Tehran is not involved in the incident of seizure of ships in the Red Sea. Israel is hurling such accusations against them without any evidence. On the other hand, the United States says that they are closely monitoring the seizure of Houthi ships.

It should be noted that Tehran is accused of providing weapons and financial support to Yemen's Houthi rebels.
